Customer Guide for Marking Utilities Protecting Underground Utilities The homeowner will assume the responsibility for locating the known locations of underground utilities, septic and water caps, sprinkler heads, invisible dog fences, cable/satellite TV, and any other obstructions that could be contacted by any part of the job that will involve aerating, overseeding, stump grinding, augering, digging, tilling, or trenching. These obstructions must be clearly marked prior to the performance of this service. I will contact Miss Utility to mark recorded utilities as needed. This service is generally provided at no charge and usually within 48 hours. There are occasional nominal charges for locating some utilities in certain jurisdictions. The charge for this service will be paid by the homeowner. Residential Power Equipment Service shall not be responsible for damage or repair to unmarked underground utilities. |
